Yes, it is more convenient to scan at lab...but quality is inconsistent although I'm still pretty happy with Fotohub's service.
Couple of reasons why I'm considering buying the scanner:
- I'm thinking of doing processing myself...then it will make more sense to do DIY scanning
- I heard MF scanning is more expensive...more economical to DIY...looks like MF-poison anti-shield not working

Better drop your shield, mf $5 PER shot for scanning. <Buy buy buy whispers dan>

Wow...the Carl Zeiss C-Sonnar...u are another one like Dankwan...CZJ Sonnar f1.5...a must try.
Was at the Zeiss show @ National Library yesterday, all picture taken by Chiif (except the last one) using my M8.2 on Benny Zeiss 85mm f2 (no UV/IR filter) at ISO 640, handheld no flash, minor PP such as cropping, WB and contrast using iphoto.
