Rubber or round flat hood for nikkon 17-55mm

Hi all,

I am looking for an alternate hood for the above lens.

Reason is to take aquarium photos and the standard hood isn't flat. Thus I am unable to press the camera flat on the glass.

The hood will block out the lights around and cut down on reflection.

just remove the hood will do,

anyway you find a 77mm rubble lens hood made by Mamiya for their RB/RZ lenses.

Have you tried removing your hood and press the filter onto the tank itself?

17-55 is using a rather large 77mm filter, a normal hood will definitely cutoff the 4 corners, assuming you get the step-up rings to fit hoods of 2 sizes up, but that will still not guarantee vignetting free.
