red dot

i jus bought the nikon 8700 yesterday from ap.after i got home then i notice a red dot on the top left corner of the lcd.it does not appear on the photo
after i download on the computer.that means it's a dead pixel on the lcd and not the ccd right?should i bring it back to change for another unit?will they change it for me?need some advice here.tks

Sounds like a dead pixel. Since you just bought it yesterday they should change it for you.
