Hi guys,

I have a few eneloop batteries and I"m looking to buy eneloop pro (black) batteries for studio use and general usage. I have a white Panasonic charger that I've been using for awhile but it's starting to have charging issues and the charger and batteries overheat. Gets VERY HOT.
May I know which chargers should I get? Should I just get the fast-charge one that comes with the eneloop pro?

Also: why are eneloop batteries on q100 so cheap? Some sellers are selling them at $4 per stack.

Maha Powerex has served me very well for many many years. Charges Enerloops safely, quickly and reliably. Bought from Reddot when Funan was still home to Clubsnap.

Where do you get the 4cell version from? I checked online and its mostly the 8 cell one (and boy it's expensive)

Kiakaptured, you are stationed in Singapore? 4 cell version so common everywhere. Where have you tried and couldn't find one?

I use smart chargers from nitecore and xtar (flashlight brands) as they charge both NiMH and Li-ion cells.

Nitecore D4, can get for around $30-$40 from local sellers.

http://list.qoo10.sg/g/412373480 $31.40 + $3 shipping. Currently there's a $5 off $30 coupon, so that takes it to slightly under $30 all in.

Xtar VC4 is closer to $40+ (I like this cos it's powered via USB, so extra handy for travel ifyou carry a multi port usb charger.)

These are the two chargers I use.

I use the MAHA MHC9000 battery charger (4 slots). I like it because I can control the charging current for slow (normal) or fast charge. It can also cycle discharge to regenerate the battery but I don't use this very often.

I use it to charge normal and high capacity variants of Eneloops, Sonys and Imedions,

Fast charge is normally not recommended as it heats up the battery and may reduce the number of cycle life of the battery.

I think I got it from TK Foto or Red Dot Photo. Both are at Plaza Singapura in Singapore.
