I use a dynax 5 with Battery pack. I"ve been having probs using rechargable batts with msgs of low batts or camera shutting off even with freshly charged batts. I suspect its cuz rechargable batts don't have enuff voltage total to count as full batt to the camera body. anyone have the same prob?

Alkaline batteries starts fresh at around 1.6 volts and dies at about 0.8V.

Whether or not the circuit can run at such low voltage is dependent on the design.

Single cell rechargables usually has a fully charged voltage of 1.2V, and it stays pretty constant until it runs out of charge.

If a 4-battery circuit is not designed to work down to 4.8V, it will have problem working with rechargables.
