Forget about the Raynox 505.

The Raynox 250 will fit filter size of 52mm to 67mm.

It's $120.

Here's a Raynox 250 fitted to a 50mm prime lens.

I've not tried the 505 but I'm using the 250. Between coupling the Raynox 250 to a 50 prime or a 55~200, a 55~200 would give you a bigger magnification and has a larger working distance.

The Cons would be the magnified hand shake due to the long focal length and serious vignetting if you shoot at shorter focal length.

Check out my earlier macro postings which I used the Raynox 250 + Tamron 18~200.

can raynox 250 work on 35mm af-s f/1.8g lens? or is it better on 18-55 or 55-200
