Question about charging the batt

Hi guys, sorry to bother. Just got a 400D. Would like to know if I need to charge the batt before my first use? If yes, may I know how long do I have to charge? Sorry for such noob question

Read your manual. I'm sure it'll state there.
Best to read the entire manual first before using if you're a first time DSLR user.
