I checked with SLR and MS color, and it seems that on one is bringing this lens in. MS color told me it will come in next year with the GF2 instead. Looks like i'll have to get it online instead...

Me too. I was hoping to get this but seems that no one is bringing it to our shore yet. Guess its either wait for it or bid it in amazon or ebay.

Its already forsale in HK at some retail stores. Its priced at around SGD560.00 (approx equivalent), which is lower than what a 20mm f1.7 sells for over there.

Trade is not carrying it at the moment, however, there will be stocks into the market in the next few weeks. Recommended Panasonic official pricing is $649, so for dealer pricing you'd have to check with them when they start to carry in

Thanks for the info, I'll wait a couple of weeks more n compare the pricing first before I make any purchase.

Vignetting seems to be pretty bad with this lens.... so unless u absolutely DIE DIE must have 14mm, the 20mm lens seems to be the better choice. Its sharper and vignettes less, especially with apertures smaller than f2.8.

Folks, you can check by photo specialist (Cathay, Alan Photo etc) for the lens.

I just checked with Alan photo n they do have this lens in. But I believe there's limited numbers..

Don't rush to get the lens people. YOu know how the shops are with limited quantities. They will jack up the price.

If I'm not wrong, the diff is about 1 stop plus diff, wide angle usually easier to handle, plus if you have IS, the diff shouldn't be really critical though others may disagree,but of course, to each his own
