Problem Saving Avatar As Gif Format

I have problems saving animated avatars from some sites onto my folder. Each time I try to save the avatar, instead of saving it as .gif format, it will save as bitmap format which I can't upload it to my photobucket account. I don't have such problem with the older PC (Win95) in my office. My PC is running on Win XP. Appreciate any help.

try clearing ur com's cache...and saving the gif again. If not juz save in bitmap, edit in photoshop save as gif/jpg/tiff.

i got tat problem too sometimes...either i clear the cache or do it photoshop. Hope tat helps.

oh, i had this problem too

your cache may be full, try cleaing your cache
or you may have selected "Do not save encrypted pages to disk"
