I am not good myself for moon shot but here is my setting, not very well done sadly

Manual Focus, spot metering,Aperture f8 and speed 1/250th and i am using my da55-300 which i guess your DA* will be even better choice but sadly i do not have it..hope to see your moon shots using the da*

HI JK,
i use daiso chopping board with styrofoam from packet rice ..
but this setup cant shoot beetles.. as the white spot create from their high reflective shell.
look at the ant with spike.. so many white spot.. i have to live with it till i create a better diffuser

Some of those bugs with shinny bodies or dark+white tones are just very difficult to get right.
Those experts in the macro section have certainly nailed it.

I'm still trying this and that, but limited time to play around and DIY.

Halong Bay, Vietnam. A truly amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site.

While overseas, I noticed my bag was looking kind of battered. It's been about 4 years since I got it; I guess most other brands would have fallen apart, given the way I 'abuse' it.

K-01 with DA40xs.

Don't think I'll give up the K10D + Sigma 10-20 anytime soon. :)

Very creatively done,,,but it does scares me when looking at it..

Seems that not much people are posting photo. Hope to see more photos..Anyway, below just one of my humble photo when i first got my k5 + 18-135mm.

Instead of letting my k-r rot in the dry cabinet, decided to take it out last week to try time lapse photography. Best part about it is that lightning clouds came into the frame halfway through the shoot. What a lucky strike! ;)

Taken with K-r & kit lens 18-55. Blended three shots into one for each.
