Like a scene from Thor 2 ?

Instead of letting my k-r rot in the dry cabinet, decided to take it out last week to try time lapse photography. Best part about it is that lightning clouds came into the frame halfway through the shoot. What a lucky strike! ;)

Taken with K-r & kit lens 18-55. Blended three shots into one for each.

Just to share 4 images of my recent outing. All taken with Pentax Kr and 35/2.4 lens. This lens is, in my opinion, great for street photography.

#1 Youth vs Experience - who will win the match?

#2 Ooo...what happened to my settings?

Welcome to birding. :)
Saw your posting in PF, I just add mine here.
Your shot is sharp and well focused, what the shot lack off is the eye contact, a better pose and a nice background.
To me eye contact is my 1st priority followed by pose and lastly background.
Like the guys in PF commented, shoot many and choose the best to keep.
For sunbirds, they are common here, so you can practice on these birds and they are quite friendly to get close, so you should be able to achieve detailed shots of them even though you are using a 300mm lens.
