It had been a long time since I last do a sunrise shots. Went to East coast Park for some fresh air and morning sunrise before my work yesterday . We are lucky to catch the 1st light even though we are slightly late as we lost our way . Waking up at 4.30am do pay off after I got this shots as I do love it a lot esp the movement of the wave avoiding the brick .

K5 was still having his holiday at Japan . But that doesn't stop me . Photo Taken with K-r with Sigma 8-16 @8mm

In-camera HDR can come in pretty handy.
2 shots using it on the HDR Standard setting.

This seems to be the setting to go for in daytime conditions. No obvious haloing.
Of course the dynamic range captured is not as wide as stronger settings, but probably still worth by adding perhaps 2-3 stops to the picture.

The candy trees would be in quite a bit of shadow or the sky would be blown out if I chose a normal shot, but with the HDR Standard, it exposes for everything. Pretty close to what the eye saw.

Another one using HDR standard. The stall tent is obviously in shadow and would be at least 3 stops darker w/o the hdr setting.

Nice catch!

thanks!..this is actually a 'staged' shot..i ask my frd to use her iphone to take a pic so that i can take a pic of her phone :)

Finally got the lens coat for my lens. ;p

Had no time for a long while to shoot any photos. Finally, had a chance for a little spare time during a recent holiday. Was quite rusty handling the camera at first. Still noob at PP.

Some shots of the beach.

Ken...this looks like an offensive weapon

This question will show my lack of knowledge in camera gear, But what is the thing on the hot shoe?

That's the wireless shutter remote transmitter.
