Wonder what the old DA40 would look like on K-01?

I really think the combination of the new body with the new pancake lens does look .... Ugly, but I blame the lens entirely, I understand the practicality argument for pancake lenses, but really, if you are trying to promote a new product, asthetics is a huge part of capturing a new audience favourably...
Just thinking about it, it is good as a backup camera for the K5/K7 on overseas trips in case of camera shutter failure, damage, etc. Especially since it uses the same battery. And on the more casual days where you aren't doing serious shooting, you can leave the K5/K7 in a safe place and just bring it out with the 40mm F/2.8 XS.
u are finding alot of excuses to buy 1... :bsmilie:
He doesn't need excuses. He IS buying one. Right ... Mr CWK?![]()

That is clearly NOT a K-01, but is clearly an APS-C camera with pentamirror/prism and viewfinder.
The flat front on the prism is reminiscent of the *istD which has a pentaprism instead of a pentamirror (although it could just be retro-styling).
