I originally got quote of $2950 for D750 + 24-120 from PS/HV but with Ortega buying the PWP of the 14-24 f2.8, I got the price reduced to $2850. Thankful to Ortega for this too. It pays to help each other, I guess. The price quoted to me for the 14-24 without the PWP was $1500.
Thanks sifu Ortega, I decided not to pwp the 50m F1.8D because the aperture is mechanically adjusted leh and also very noisy.
Wanted to also pwp the 14-28 F2.8 like yours but I discovered that it didn't have any thread for filter leh ... so I am thinking maybe I get a 3rd party one for wide angle landscape shots. Any good wide angle lens to recommend ? I wanna use it to shoot scenary for timelapse. My requirements are:
1) less than S$1,500
2) minimum aperture of 2.8
3) must have auto focus

You are focusing too much on wide aperture here. Do you need it? I'm seeing you jump into the nikon eco-system with a mft/mirrorless mentality, and fear you will pay an expensive lesson.
There are many (ultra) wide lens for nikon, each capable of many types of shots, with some better at astrophotography, night landscapes, handheld shooting, day landscapes, portraits, and group/event shooting.
The 20/1.8g vignettes a lot wide open, same for many other fast aperture lens. If you plan to put filters, i would assume you are putting nd filters, so why limit yourself? Have you check the smallest aperture size per lens? F/16 vs F/22, etc.

I'd save more and get the 14-24mm f/2.8. It's really quite amazing. And the 20mm f/1.8 does quite a different thing when compared to the 14-24mm.
Yup. The 14-24/2.8 is amazing, and very versatile. Hope to see more on 2nd hand market
The photographer used the 14-24/2.8 on the D810 today for my family shoot.
Seriously a damn good piece of glass.
walau ... missed the boat ... should have bought the 14-24/2.8 thru pwp yesterday then but i pass it ... :cry:
Not too late to buy a new d810 and get the 14-24/2.8 !!! Dun forget the sb910 too !
