Hi guys, I need your help. I just upgraded my DSLR from Nikon D90 to Nikon D7100, and I realise that the photos I shot using D7100 is very much more darker than D90. I would like to know what would be the issue? Appreciate any help at all, thank you.

If you still have the D90, mount it with the same lens. Meter the same scene / subject & compare, with fixed shutter speed / ISO the reported aperture value. Usually they will be the same.
If its very far off on the D7100, please check if exposure fine tune is enabled & also check that the exposure compensation (EV) is set to zero.

The one in D90 appears to be much brighter as compared to D7100. Any idea how I could solve this?
Found your problem mate.
On your D90, you have enabled active D lighting, it is set to auto. On the D7100 the active D lighting is disabled.
The function of the active D lighting is to recover the shadows, that's why the D90 pics looks brighter.
If you enable the active D lighting on the D7100, the pics will look brighter in the shadows, then the pics from the D71000 will be about the same brightness as the picture shot by the D90.
