The picture I have scanned here showed that it is very under the actual picture.

Anyone knows how to tune this slide scanner?

Auto level? If scanned not ok and too dark, the autolevel will make it sux big time man :p

Thanks for pointing out my mistake; I didn't look at the scans so wrong advice :embrass: ...is your monitor properly calibrated? U scanned postives or negatives? Need you to fill in the blanks before others can come to your aid

Paiseh... I didn't make my question clearly ;P Anyway to answer the above questions:

1. Monitor was properly calibrated.
2. Scanning positive slides.
3. Very consistent, all underexposed, though the pictures are all ok.

Anything else I missed? :p

no lar adam, u are quite right, it depands on your slide, if the different between hi key and low key is too great, do not use auto level, else I don't see anything wrong with auto level.

now, I am talking about black art of photography, best if we can consult Ian.
