Newbies attempt..

Thanks to modelinn for arranging the shoot..

All taken with D70, 50 mm 1.8, 85 mm 1.8 or 80-200 mm 2.8 Leans

why the tight crops ? Modelinn's shoots are very fashion-oriented with some styling involved ..and we cant see the outfits in any of your pics :)

Well TS mentioned that he is a newbie.

Then again just shoot and post. Dont bother about somebody's harsh critique :thumbsup:
 

Tight crop is okay to me. But to TS, my suggestion is not to post too many headshots. Vary a little. Also, watch out for dark eyes. It really ruins the portrait.
 

try +0.6 to +1 exp compensation?

the dark area real dark, and even with PP might cause some noise to develop.
 

could be the lousy monitor, but some shots are 1/3 - 1/2 stop underexposed.

there's warm colour cast in the skin tone.

there's also some of the model's face details buried in the shadow.
 

Face too dark. Intentional? No reflector? facing the wrong direction? :dunno:
 

Did you use flash? I'm not sure did you sharpen the image, but it felt alittle too oversharpened to me.
