It's not pretty, but quite cheap. As long as the camera is working, and if you don't mind its cosmetic condition, I think it's a good deal It's exactly the same camera as the one I'm using

Tested the DA40mm on the K1000. Sadly not successful because the aperture could not be adjusted. The light meter kept on reporting the image as way over exposed...
So its back to the 50 f/1.7 for me...

Well, if you really wanna use DA lens on a manual film body, you can think of something like SuperA/SuperProgram or ProgramA/ProgramPlus, or something similar
