Newbie's try on butterfly shot... :embrass:
Appreciate comments on how i can improve.

erm your picture isn't very sharp...extremly grainy...

care to share the technical aspect of the shot, eg camera/ lens etc?
easier to critque if tech stuff provided.

Ya its grainy
Coz i couldnt move too close to the butterfly (it will fly away once you're too near), & my digicam (Canon S50) has only 3x optical zoom, so i had to use my digital zoom also. As a result the pic is kinda grainy.

Would definitely appreciate if anyone has any suggestions on how to overcome that limitation..

digital zoom? no wonder... try not to use it at all...if you wanna get bigger image size, it's better to crop in photoshop than use the digital zoom which is effectively the same concept. you might also consider getting some sort of closeup filters for the digicam if you are interested in macro photography.

dude, post your pic in the macro section and get more people to teach you on how to do macros. and please, nvr do that digital zoom thing...only if you have to (last resort).
