What are your recommendations for mooncakes with mid autumn fest around the corner?

For myself am looking out for "unconventional" flavours ie not the usual white lotus seed paste fillings

But feel free to discuss all..:)

I really enjoy the mooncakes by raffles hotel. A fren of my had her wedding there last year, and during the cocktail time, it was like eat all you can. ;p

I love the ones from goodwood park, pricey but tasty! As usual, snow skins are still my favourite!*yummy!!!*

There`s the mao shan wang snow skin mooncake

But i tink i will be trying the mao shang wang, sounds nice :bsmilie:

Park Hotel mao shanh wang 4 pcs per box $88... expensive!

I prefer Marriot Hotel durian mooncake...better than Goodwork Park.

Lavender cake house ones in JB are pretty good. Especially like the charcoal mooncake (good for digestion too)

Bought mine from Majestic Hotel for S$52 w/o GST. 5 Stars in i weekly and it really is!

ate the durian snowskin from goodwood park.
my verdict was... not good.
the snowskin does not feel like snow skin. the texture is like jelly and it taste like jelly.
durian paste i think they mixed in some jelly like stuff. it has the jelly texture.
the whole skin did not cover the whole content.

last year I bought the baked ones from Fullerton hotel and we loved the one with pineapple and nuts as compared to the traditional lotus with yolk.
this year, i'm gonna get a box of 4 of the pineapple and nut one.
