Added in the shipment and GST taxes works out almost $600. The savings are minimals imho. In the case if the shipment set is lemon, it will end up more ex than getting locally.

Availability. I thought it is out of stock in Sin, no?

I thought $399 is under the $400 threshold? No? BUt I have never shipped anything back ever.

Shipment, there are lots of ways other than Fedex or vPost.

Price of Lumix LX5 is dropping.....I understand that Alan Photo (Sim Lim Square) is selling it for $650 with GST. It comes with a 8GB SDHC card and a camera case. Is this a good buy? Anyone has better recommendation?

Its not dropping too much internationally. Pretty much stuck to the USD $400 figure for a few weeks now... going a little plus and minus occasionally.

There are some clowns selling for $630, $650, their few-months-old-used LX5. Which fool would buy at that sort of price? For a savings of less than 15%, I would prefer to buy brand new in tbe box than to have to go and meet the seller "AT HIS CONVENIENCE".
Surely electronics items depreciate?
That is another strange thing -when seller dictate "meet at my convenience". Wow, is that crazy? Not as if it is half price!
Just a thought for the day . . rainy day, brain too free.

Better take a few equotes from 4 other places for a lower quote...

dunno if you are that dumb to believe that 680-149 = original price of LX5 or you are just trying to be funny.
