LR3 Develop Module - how to prevent it jumping to the newest image?

I've got the "auto import" feature turned on, so when there's a new image appearing in the watched folder, LR3 automatically imports it and it appears in the develop module.

All sounds good so far.

Main issue is when I am working on 1 image in the develop module, I don't want it to jump to the newest image mid-way through. I find it quite a distraction.
Any way to disable this behaviour of jumping to the latest imported image?

was searching through the 'auto-import' settings, but not able to find a relevant setting.

It is the default behaviour of LR to show the latest import, auto or not, and not changeable. I don't really understand why you would edit a file and import another one at the same time. Both actions take quite a bit of resources and slow down things
