Hi everybody,
Thank you Ben for this outing. I enjoyed it thoroughly!
This is my first ever macro and the picture quality are right at the bottom of the ladder.
I hope to learn and improve over time - and make many plastic plate and CD casing diffusers!!!
Thanks to Victor and David for your invaluable ensite coaching and tips and to David especially for lending me the Raynox R250 attachment lens.
All pictures cropped only - no adjustments done.
All "sifus" please C & C.
Cheers and be happy.

Hi Lew,
You are welcome and let's call it sharing as we are also learning among our shoots.
Me not qualified as sifu.

Hope you like the raynox DCR-250 macro conversion lens.
Did you manage to locate the adaptor ring for your lens?

Pretty good shots except that your shot are a little too tight & a little soft ;)

Hi David,
It was the lens filter that I thought was missing (not the adaptor ring). Actually it came off together with the adaptor ring, so its not missing. I made a mistake and thought it was stuck to the Raynox.
When we went off Ben advised me to get to know the workings of my camera thoroughly. Upon reaching home, I went through the camera handbook and found that I can switch off the digital enlargement when focusing manually. This function was causing me problems when manually focusing. I also found that I do not need the Raynox as my lens is already 1:1 at min 6-inch focusing distance which is 2 inch from face of lens to subject.
Can you let me know which forum thread is selling the flash bracket that Ben is using?
And where did he buy the swivel joint? I SMS him but got no reply, so maybe the SMS went somewhere.
Thanks and God Bless.

Thanks buddy,
Hope to improve fast now that I got a little bit of the ropes and a lot of site advice from experienced CSnappers. With group outings and discussions like this, to me, it is already a big jump start. Its better than reading a lot of books without hands on field practices.
Cheers.

Swivel joint....are you referring to the little ball head? It is the Manfrotto 482 ballhead. We bought it in Chinatown Point building 2nd floor (the same one as Mac restn)...a photo accessories shop.
