Hey guys, because I missed some shots last week, I will be going back to hunt for the guards (not ghosts) and try to shoot some horses

Bukit Brown Chinese Cemetery (Kopi Hill) starting at 7.30am or earlier and probably ending around 9.00am

Gathering pt will be at the main gate of the Cemetery

getting there by public transport :
a) Bus Stop No: 41149 along Lornie Road, opposite Singapore Island Country Club (SICC)
b) Bus Stop No. 41141 along Adam Road, before SICC.

From the bus stop along Lornie Road, it will be a few mins walk to the main gate.

Everyone are welcomed! group photo is mandatory and will be uploaded.

Good to bring :
Rain gear
Insect Repellent
Wear Long Pants!

Wet Weather Plan : If it drizzle/rain before the outing, then it is up to your own (including myself) discretion to turn up or not
If it drizzle/rain during the outing, pack up and go have a coffee or breakfast nearby

Brother john you come got guide! Good uh! Sadly i only have 2 sheets of Shanghai 100 left, will be using roll film instead

The crop = siaan half

Maybe doing some 35mm. Its been gathering dust ever since i got my speed graphic

Last Sunday we learnt that mosquitoes are abundant there so insect repellent is important. i suggest covered shoes, long pants and maybe long sleeve shirt. Covered shoes will allow you to walk into the above ankle deep grass if you want to shoot close up of some of the tombstones.

Thanks Zguy for the highlights. Slippers are big no no :nono:
Bring OFF! and also wear track shoes. Water bottle/tower also important.

In general, the tracks are hidden by the grass. SPI has marked out many tombs and the paths are there.
No need to do commando style bashing, but you never know.

My last trip my kid wacked over 8Gb of pictures. Still no time to sort out yet.
If you have a 120 roll film back, it is a good idea to bring one.

Due to monotone of the location, shooting B&W is highly recommended. Anything ASA100-400 will be fine.
Use a green filter to turn the leaves white, and let the head stones stand out.

Have to come down again after leaving early last Sunday!

Insect repellant, long sleeved tops and bottoms, and shoes are a must!

Thanks for your repellent last week. You saved my life! Lol

i always love this kind of highlight among sea of shadows. But still too wide despite using 210mm. Hard to move in nearer due to terrain. will look out for such lighting again this sunday.

I have one location to recommend. It is the first lot near the main entrance car park. There are a few trees standing out of the head stones.

Guys take note its sunday

My permit has been granted. I suspect the light will be nicer earlier in the morning. Anyone game to start at 7 instead of 730?

I'll be going early at 7am to take a shot at the gate and the concrete cylinders which i forgot avout last wk. Seeya there
