Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone in this forum done reflective surgery and what's your experience. Where did you go to and how much did you pay for it.

Specifically, has anyone done it in Thailand and which clinic did you go to. I've been contemplating .. (and close to constipating) about doing it... :p

Just saw an article in the newpaper today and wondering if it's really that safe..

Care to share..???

cheers..

i have 2 friends already done it this year....

both their outcome are very positive. both done in KL, much cheaper than singapore.

Hi

I also think of doing lasik because of the risks I didn't do it. When u go for lasik treat, there are a few things things to consider, ur eyesight, what job u doing, etc. Well if ur eyesight is below 500 per eye then don't take the risks. If u 1 2 do it then go for local specialist. Because u got to c that specialist again after treatment. So think n think n think again n again n again. This ur own eyes n go n do research on this lor. Give u this website to read http://www.clearvision.com.sg/index.asp?MainId=Home&SubId=HomeCompanyProfile . N remember to think n think ok. Because I still thinking whether 1 to do it or not.

I did it in KL in Nov 2003. Costs me RM$3600 + RM$100 consultation + hotel stay + bus fare to KL and back. Altogether around S$2000-2100 vs that time's Singapore's S$6000-7000.

Now, the KL price has increased and Singapore's price has dropped so it may not be so worth it to travel to KL already.

The clinic I went to has a branch in JB so I did all my follow ups in JB. The follow ups are Free as they're included in the original package price of RM$3600.

I did mine at SNEC maybe 3-4 years back at $2k an eye. by now of course cheaper

So far I've checked the follow pricing..

SNEC S$1320 (per eye) for Consultant and S$1850 for Senior Consultant
NUH S$1590 per eye flat

Consultantion is about $160-170.

wow...that's tempting! I have 700+ eyesight problems too...have been tempted to LASIK many many years ago...but can't afford and worry about the risk.

My sister in law has done the surgery in KL, and she is happy about it. Few months ago I heard in the Singapore TV news that there is technology in Singapore that can track the movement of the eyes while the surgery is on-going, making possible a PERFECT 10 10 vision after the surgery. The current widely available technology is only able to correct but not perfect the vision. That's what I heard.

I used to be a 'blind' man, 1250 degree for each eye. Now, abt 80 each.
I had my eyes treated in the beginning of this year at Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). Total cost, including consultation, treatment, follow up checks(abt 6 times) etc was $5000-$6500. That was when it was still expensive, now almost half price!!
In Malaysia, they do both of ur eyes at one go. But in SNEC, one per week, for safety reasons.

Never regret it.

come on, Msia also got good doctors la.

well, at least both my friends trusted them ... how much i cannot remember.
i think 2 trips or so. 1 trip do checkup, next day do for both eyes...then another trip for follow-up. one doctor even got 'branches' in JB, so more convenient

Dun forget Macro mode oso. For those close and fine details ;)

AI Sevro - towards the opposite sex - esp the chou ones....
With 1000fps shooting and a buffer memory of 1 Tetrabyte and High Speed 1000x 1 Petrabye CF built in and 1000Gigapixel with a large, ultra sensitive CMOS sensor.

that will swtich to IR mode
Not forgetting full-colour X-Ray mode with selectable Alpha, Beta or Gamma rays to see or kill. ;)

just wondering after lasik....will your degree increase again over time ?

This is totally OT, but i think the eye as a lens more closely matches a 20-200mm f0.x lens, and captures at about 30fps. It has only one AF point which is movable, a dynamic range of about 15 stops.
