Tim: The first one is great. Love the patterns, blacks, angle, composition, printing (darkening of the left and right bottom corners I pressume were done during printing?i.e. after the phot was taken ?) and the use of the DOF.

Nice work. Full of mood and emotions.

The dark part was part of the background (dark clouds) achieved via f/2.8, but I did burn the corners a bit to enhance it further.

I cropped the top to form this 8x10 ratio as I felt it's too much empty space.
