how to photograph aircrafts?

1) High ISO...mayb 1600
2) invest in a long telephoto lens
3) pre focus with infinity and get ready to fine tune from there
4) set to burst shot
5) rest and relax a bit...wait for plane to fly by
6) squeeze the trigger

Wow, so many nice photos posted up elsewhere in the forum of the NDP preview. No instant gratification here unfortunately. I'm gonna hand in my film tomorrow and cross my fingers! can you all cross your fingers for me as well. Thanks!
