Don't think so. It's discontinued for some time. Perhaps some shops may have new old stocks but I wouldn't want to take the risk. There's a reason why the shops couldn't sell off. Also the price may not be good as the shop might have been stuck with a high cost back then.

Either way, most local dealers selling sets from nikon distribution would have rotated the old stocks back to the distributor back then.
10Q, this is helpful info for me.

I think between getting it 2nd hand a new nikon 70-200 f4, I choose the later

realise that not much ppl mention about purchasing of the D800 here. has anyone recently been to HK to make this purchase? mind sharing your experience?

Thanks in Advance! :)

Does anyone know if shops in HK charge more if you pay by credit card as compared to by cash?

HK camera is much more cheaper. I bought my D7100 in HK, a shop called Sunning with 1year international warranty, 32GB card, a card reader, camera, tripod and a lens protector for SGD1930, paid by credit card.

Good evening to all. Thanks to the TS for all the info which have proven really useful for so many traveller to HKG. However I would like to seek the help of those who have traveled to HKG and have recently checked out prices of the camera bodies and equipments as I would need to acquire the items soon.

Can someone / anyone share with me the recent prices of

1) Nikon D4 body
2) AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED
3) AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II

If the savings is substantial, I will book a ticket to HKG to acquire these 3 items albeit the non international warranty.

Thank you all for our time and patience.

Cheers!

Unless you are purchasing the items gray, you will get international warranty for the Nikon lenses.

As for the price, you can easily check them out at 香港格價網 Price.com.hk

D prices r quite standard HK market rates. U do get some good lenses at a good price at times, especially those tat r not very mint. Just visit their shop when u r there. Very friendly bunch.
