E-520 AF problem

hi, just encountered something strange: was just trying out a newly-acquired sigma 30mm, at home under warm FL light.
realised got front focusing sometimes.
accurate under brighter light, but ff comes when dimmer.
retested using kit lens, to discover same issue.

so, is my body's af worn out? or lighting too dim for E-520? or warm fluorescent causes focus to go off? the brightness is similar to Orchard MRT station.

anyone been there? lol

thing is, the af lock is fast, but off. it didn't hunt, but locked so confidently...
