so instead of buying 2nd hand from BnS, might as well use this program.

50D is not available any more.

The DSLRs available are 1000D, 450D, and 500D (body alone or with your choice of Kit I/II).
Also all P&S are available for this Privileged Purchase Program.

I was just down at the service center and brought an old film camera 888 and they told me that it qualifies for the program. However, if they don't have the camera in stock at the moment you go down, then you have to wait. Currently, S90 stocks won't be in until end Nov which is not too bad.
