If you have the intention to create an image or an expression to show other that will make you an artist. Like some people paint but people might not think he an artist. Photographer who creat a volume of work no matter the quality or big or small in the purpose to show to others his works or art is an artist.

Photo-Artist is someone who creates Pictorial Artworks that make a statement, he is self-motivated.
Photo-Grapher is someone who creates Technical Excellence Pictures that what the commercial world wanted, he is profit-driven.
Again, 'Photo-Snapper' & 'Photo-Junkie' are another class altogether ... :sweatsm:

Personally, Photography is an Art.
However, not everyone who knows how to take photos is an artist unless his works has artistic value to them.

A Commercial Photo-Grapher is but just a technically skilled competent Craftman
A Commercial Photo-Artist is but just a Creative Talent who sell his ideas and make it tangible on (photo) papers.

After all the talks about Arts and Creativity in Singapore, the sad truth and fact still remains ... :devil:
'Technical' Photographer are better sought-after than the 'Visualiser' People ... as this is what the commercial world equates the value of things. :cry:
'Right-Brain People' are not recognised and appreciated as a Value-added to the businesses and economy.
'Left-Brain People' who are the technicals, which maybe over-rated, and prospered under 4 decades of bais influences and looped-sided believes ... ( and We are paying for the Price now ). :angry:
The Question is: Has the Time Come for the "Right-Brainers" to make a Stand, and be counted as equals to the Other Fields of Professionals ? :think:
The Choice is Yours : Be a 'Thinking Photographer', or you are just happy making ends meet, as a 'Technical Photographer' :dunno:
