Wah... you've been doing your homework on this... Better go update my website! :embrass:

43 species so far? Not bad... Keep at it. At the rate you're going, should easily hit 100 species by the end of the year!

I think there are 3 species not on the 'butts' bible' yet. ;)

Feel free to ask if u need any help. :)

well done macross, I should wake up & give a good chase ;)

Errmm..., actually I concentrated more on getting new species :p than on good composition/aesthetic (like today) :embrass: , which is why I get more. Your pics are definitely far more superior    than mine.

Great that you have started to record your sightings  Keep it up.
So far the Butterfly Group has recorded 69 species at AH ! I will try to publish the official list asap so that you know when you find a new unrecorded species ;) Note that you should exclude those that you are not 100% sure of the ID from the record and all new records must be supported by photo evidence.

huh! 69 species at AH? that means I no need to go else where & can just focus at AH ;)

Green Baron: Thanks for your professional suggestion, I will keep that in mind. The species that I have listed come from all over the places, though most of them are definitely in AH. Looking forward to the AH list. :) I think AH is going to get crowded.

FujiS2: We should call for 'concentrate fire' on this strategic point. ;)

Btw, since my shot of the Common Rose was so popular, I have decided to use it as my avatar. :)

I will be building a new gallery for my butts collection. Any suggestion how the organisation should be?

I was thinking of dividing into albums according to family-subfamily, with Nymphalidae-Nymphalinae and Lycaenidae-Lycaeninae into a few albums if they get too big.

ha, that is what I wanted to do as well :)
I'm still in the middle of buiding my site, yup my new butts site was organized according to the super-family -> family -> subfamily ->
photos mainly on butts + cats, hostplant, pupa, egg & others related info abt the species. If more species found under a subfamily then I'll break it to multiple page.

Think you site will be up first than mine coz mine still need to do lots of programming  I'm building a database driven website so it'll be easy to organize/maintain in the future :)

Macross: This might interest you. Today I saw a Euploea phaenareta castelnaui (King Crow) at AH. Info on it from Papilio's website here.

Family : Nymphalidae
Sub-Family : Danainae

It's about the same size as the Common Birdwing. Truely spectacular. Hope you manage to get a shot of it soon.

Wah lau eh... looks like I better exercise my creaky legs more, otherwise I'm gonna be left far behind ;p But its good to know that there are so many species in AH, my creaky legs wont have to walk so much hehe. ;p

Bob, can share your butts species count?

Impressive listing, macross. Keep it up!!
