These butterflies belong to a very big family called Lycaenidae. Under this family there are 5 subfamiles, Lycaeninae is one of them and it is one of the largest subfamiles.

Here are some shots of a few species in this subfamily. These shots were taken in the past few weeks uisng D100 + S105mm macro lens.

1. Acytolepis puspa lambi (Common Hedge Blue)

2. Hypolycaena erylus teatus (Common Tit)

Thanks for contributing your shot here.
Yes, a nice shot of the FT.

Like to exercise and trek during weekends, at the same time hunting and shooting butterflies.

Nice shots and thanks for sharing!

Federick,

Nice series you got there. Agree with you, butt hunting and trekking is a good form of exercise and time off away from urban areas ;p

Patrick,
Nice artistic shot you have there.

Thanks for the kind comments.
On behalf of Patrick, thanks Papilio, megaweb and Adrian also.

Patrick, hope to meet up with you one day for butts or macro shooting.

Great shots!
where do you hunt for the butterflies??

You can easily find some common butterflies in any neighbourhood parks.
I usually go hunting in the central catchment areas.
