Hi Silverelf.
I always wanted to buy some insurance when diving. May i know roughly how much and from which agent? I am refering to those for only one trip only.
Thanks.

Hi Coozie. Like your idea, cheapo diver's club.
Same applies to photography. Cheapo gear also can take reasonable pictures. Cheapo gear also can dive. You don't need jetfin to fin faster, you need a strong pair of legs. Ha Ha Ha!!!

Coozie, good idea of having cheapo diver's club.
So, ehe... Want to organize dive trip?
Thinking of planning one in july though, and go for my AOWD cert.
So maybe that date is cool?
Dive site probably, aur?

hi guys!
i'm not a diver la, but quite interested in getting into it all, after going snorkelling overseas recently. anywayz, juz wanna check out wat kind of courses can you all can recommend me, coz my situation abit different from u all i guess
i'll be going to the states for my studies in a few months time, prob around september, want to pick up a diving course and get certification here, since i quite free from now til september la, but not sure wat would be good... alot of ppl have told me to take PADI and i noe there are some other certifications, so wanna hear ur expert opinions about wat my best option would be
basically, i want to be able to go diving to a decent depth, maybe 50 or 100 m? and must be able to do this in USA, i.e. the cert must be recognised there. i heard the basic PADI cert can only go like 25 m, cannot really see much at that depth, so wondering exactly wat i should be looking to do, wat cert is "enough", etc etc
Thanks!
i am interested in the dive at july, please let me know the price, duration and which part of tioman are we staying.....Originally posted by lanxx
Will be organising one July trip to tioman.
for phototaking and coral life, tioman is much better.
Aur has alot of 'dead sites'. Dunno why ppl still like to go there.
I take u/w photos, so sites must have respectable coral/marine life and not to mention, my fave objects, nudibranches!

guess adv open water is more than good enuff for me!
Actually you can buy general travel insurance for that specific trip. I know that AIG travel insurance covers recreational diving without any additional loading on the premium. The policy will also cover personal items and dive gear up to $500 per item. The premiums are v affordable for short trips within Asia.Originally posted by serendipity
