Arsenal will be playing Portsmouth at Fratton Park later today ... wonder whether RVP will be fielded ... I'm sure he's hungry for goals!

Loosing the top spot to manu last week and regaining it back this morning shows that Arsenal won't be giving up the title chance so easily (yeah take that manu players!).
Its really 'a game of two halves', Arsenal didnt play well at all in the first 45mins. In the 2nd half, the commentators were saying Everton players came out smiling/laughing and thinking they won the game already. We showed them! :thumbsup:
Hopefully Arsenal will not loose the lead to manu from now on...

You're in paradise so fight for your place, Wenger tells Diarra
Arsene Wenger has delivered a warning to disgruntled midfielder Lassana Diarra that he would be making a big mistake to walk out of Arsenal's 'paradise'.
Diarra complained after he was omitted from the 16 to play Chelsea on December 16 and told a French newspaper how he had been a victim of broken promises and was ready to leave the club he joined only four months ago.
The 22-year-old, who pushed for a move from Chelsea in the summer, has started only four games in the Barclays Premier League since his £2million transfer across London but has been told to grow up and fight for his place like a man.
"We are not in a kindergarten here," said Wenger. "We are in a job for men. You cannot be at our level, one of the biggest clubs in the world, paid at a fantastic level and have no competition.
"Tell me one club of our size in the world who give a chance to the young players like we do. There are none. At our club young players are in paradise. Normally you wait until 26 or 27 to get a chance in a big club. You go to Real Madrid, you go to Milan, where do the young players play?"
Despite this policy, there is a growing list of unhappy players at the Emirates Stadium, led by goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, who will be allowed to leave next month.
Gilberto Silva and Abou Diaby are also dissatisfied with their roles on the fringes.
Wenger added: "I cannot understand when people are surprised there is competition in a big club. You leave one big club for another and you have another manager who, at the end of the week, will choose 11 players. Fifteen will have to deal with the situation of not being played. Why does that raise questions? It is part of our job.
"If you have a period for two or three months with the team doing well and you have a player doing well in front of you, that's bad luck.
"It is a job for strong people and those who stay strong always come out. When they are at a club lower in the League they want to join a bigger club. You cannot have everything."
Diarra is in the squad for today's game at Everton and Wenger insists his attitude has been "100 per cent professional" in training.
He has attracted interest from Lyon and Paris St-Germain but may want to discuss his situation with Mathieu Flamini before deciding his future.
Flamini was seeking a transfer 12 months ago, speaking in the French media about his unhappiness, but was eventually persuaded to stay and has become a mainstay of Arsenal's midfield this season.
Wenger said: "Diarra has the talent to be in a big club. That's where his place is. It's as simple as that. He wants to play, he's unhappy not to play. I can understand that. But you have to assess yourself and stay where you belong. He belongs to a big club. For the moment he doesn't play but if he continues to fight he will play.
"When you sign a contract, no one puts a gun to your head. Nobody forced me to sign. I'm 58, I never went to see somebody after I signed to say: 'I'm having a difficult patch at the moment, I want to go'."
Lehmann's position is totally different. At 38, he will not be expected to fight for his place. Borussia Dortmund are interested and the Germany international will be allowed to make up his own mind.
"I do not want to stop him playing in his last European Championship," said Wenger. "He has to make up his mind. We might have two goalkeeper injuries in between but if the situation remains the same I will try to help him."
Arsenal's Ivory Coast internationals Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue will leave to prepare for the African Nations Cup on January 7 and defender Johan Djourou will be recalled from his loan spell at Birmingham to compensate.
Wenger insists he is not concerned about the strength of his squad at the halfway stage of the season, joking that he will only buy next month if someone offers him the 'bargain of the century' and trusting his young players to cope with the pressure of a title race.
"We are not short," said the Frenchman. "We have a very young squad but a very talented one. We have 44 points from 19 games and if you multiply that we have 88. That's not bad. I don't know if that's enough to win the title. At the moment, it doesn't look like it.
"But after 19 games we are not where we are by coincidence and what is good is we can do better. Had we not had the impossible schedule the Premier League gave to us with three away games on the trot, which I've never seen anywhere for anybody, we would still be unbeaten today."
The Arsenal boss was referring to the rescheduling of an away game at Newcastle in between trips to Aston Villa and Middlesbrough. Arsenal dropped five points from the three matches and drew at Portsmouth on Boxing Day.
Since losing their first game of the season away to Sevilla in the Champions League on November 27, Arsenal have won five, drawn two and lost one, and Wenger will not accept any suggestion his youngsters are faltering.
He said: "In the last three games we have not created so many chances but we have played Chelsea, Tottenham and Portsmouth. We took seven points from three very difficult games. That's not disastrous.
"We have had our backs to the wall many times this season but we have responded. We have a great togetherness and a great talent."

Yah, add in the win over Everton last night and that is 10 pts out of 12 against pretty good opponents also from the top end of the table.

I was pretty annoyed with the performance in the first-half but they turned the game on it's head in the second-half. Was wearing my new Arsenal top so it has a 1-0 win record now 
Good to see Eduardo on the score sheet at last but it's going to take another six months for him to adjust to the pace and style of EPL. Brave of AW to play him against such strong opposition as EFC.
On a different note, who else here is totally sick of Carlton Palmer and John "Budgy" Burridge, the pundits on FC27. Along with Morrison, they must make the worst panel of football presenters ever. John Dykes was a fantastic presenter and I could bear Sheby and the others too. This new lot in Dubai are just terrible.
