Are stuffs from Orient Photo (Sim Lim Square) ok?

Hi,

noticed that some of the items (example camera lens) from Orient Photo is about more then $100 cheaper then elsewhere.

Wonder if any of you bought from this shop?
Is this shop so call "trustworthy"??

i think these items are "grey" i.e. only shop warranty or no warranty at all from authorized distributor.

orient photo is the only photography shop in sls that i will trust . period.

there's a thread of this shop before. go search for it

I brought a 2GB CF card ( with chinese characters on the plastic casing ) from Orient few days back, cheap and good... so far so reliable leh... no problem. :thumbsup:

Their stuff are not so cheap...580EX no warranty @$700. With Local warrant at other shops $710. Which will you pay? Shop warrant...what if they return to china tomorrow? Who will be responsible for the warranty?

1. Please do a search before you post cos there are a number of threads concerning Orient Photo with a pretty good mixed of comments.

2. This is also a wrong forum to post this it should be in the consumer forum not here. This is for General, Reviews, Tech Talk Share tips & tricks, techniques, general photography chat.
