If that's what you want, look for 1 with all the basic settings, such as manual mode, shutter, aperture priority etc. And if possible, 1 which you can add an external flash and some external accessories too.

I would recommend a 2nd Fuji 602 tho, if you can still find one.

:)

I think they're all good. Main thing is to find a camera that is adequate for your needs & budget. Also, the camera got to feel comfortable in your own hands.

I had a G2 before. Its not a bad camera. One of the reasons for me selling it away is because I didn't like the feel of the camera in my hands. Used my brother's S45 for my australian trip & it felt good in my hands. Its just a comfort thing for me.

becos u want to learn.......but s45 / 50 cannot let u use add on lens.......so .....u can't have a tried at it.

G2 / G3 is good......but buying new would be off ur budget, if u can get 2nd hand then also can^^

ya.....can consider 602z also good^^ 2nd hand price should be around 800-850 with warranty and adaptor.......some $900 or $850 got alot of things for u to start off already^^

Hmm ic .. G3 n G2 can add in Lens also is it? ... btw ... heard that A70 got some new features that makes it quite good.... so is those cameras i mention earlier n the fugi cam u all suggested comparable wif it?

oh...the new digi ...processor? that only G3 has g2 no have.
i think it affects the focusing speed.

i would group :
1. g3 and 602z as a group.

2. a60 / 70 as a group

3. s45 / 50 / f100 / f300

group 1 :
1. have most manual functions
2. can add on lens
3. can use external flash

group 2:
1. have manual functions
2. can add on lens
3. cheaper

group 3:
1. small and compact
2. have manual functions but cannot use add on lens (not sure about f100/300)

external flash is useful for group photos and macro.
add on lens <--- since u wanna learn.
