Guys, thanks for your suggestions and comments, good to find alot of helpful people in this forum. I ended up getting the 50mm f1.4 USM. Tried taking some night scenes and it turn out really nice except some noise when i set ISO at 6400, camera problem i reckon. Thinking of getting the 16-35mm...

nobody seems to be selling the 5D mark II in the forum. It's quite a new model so that's why. I will probably get a brand new one. Check on canon website the retail price for the body is $4,299. Some said that can get in cheaper at MS color. Any other places i can explore?

Hi all, I am getting the Canon 5D Mark II body and was thinking what's the best lens to go along with it, any suggestions? I thought of getting a EF 50mm f/1.2 L USM but too expensive so maybe a EF 50mm f/1.4 USM for taking portrait and EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM for landscape.
