I second that. Used to have one X's drive pro, once afew image were corrupted. Luckily I still have it in CF card. Now I also use the older version with screen so I can check.

I have one. I sent to FeiFei at Chinatown for removal & replacing of the melted foam and cleaning. Cost less than $60. Don't DIY, better let pro do it. Well-worth it, very sharp & fast lens.

I just got a imitation one for $30. It looks the same shape as the canon one. Only diff is its got a high gloss finish and a matt plastic inside instead of velvet one.

Hi guys, After reading this thread, I went to check out the lens and realised its versatility. I bought it. Great lens, very sharp and IS is a bonus to have, just hope I don't get too dependent to it. Just dunno whether is the hood neccessary. Sure looks fierce when hood! :vhappy...
