fixed it liao...yaay i feel dumb though haha~ Thanx again pple Found 2 methods: 1)taped up 2 contacts on the 300D to turn the 380EX into a fully manual unit (damn powerful, shall cover w cardboard) 2)use FEL with pop up flash, wait for strobes to recharge then shoot (annoying but works)

ohhhhh damn preflash grrrrr haha~ i was covering the the pop-up flash with some paper so din really see it. daaamn no wonder the strobes go off slightly b4 the popup thanks a million pple 3x 500w flashes still underexposed i tot cam spoilt liao haha~

I've a 300D + 3x Elinchrome 500 strobes problem is using the built in optical trigger sensor on the strobes n the pop up flash as the trigger the strobes fire too early n the shot comes out only with the pop up flash. Tried it with a speedlite 380ex, same results. Works fine with a nikon F90...

yea looking at the Sigma 70-300mm f3.5-5.6 APO seen DL & non APO version on buy/sell for <200 wondering if it's worth it not looking for ultra sharp/high contrast glass have to be realistic with my kinda budget haaiii~ sth to cover field sports events the kit lens at 85mm is too short...

Need some longer n faster glass to beef up me 300D. Was tinking with the cropping factor of 1.6x a lens with telephoto end of 125mm (35mm equivalent) should suffice. Was wondering if anyone has any reccommendation? Cost is top priority, hehe~ budget ar. Comments appreciated. Thanks in advance

the white AF-assist has to go lar. Scare animals at the night safari only haha~ any cheap small external flashes (3rd party also can) to reccomend? hopefully can cover all the AF points on the 300D. how much for the Speedlite 420EX ar?

paisey newbie here...juz wondering if there's anyway to avoid the annoying flashes of light the pop-up flash emmits when autofocusing in lowlight conditions on the 300D? It's known as the AF-assist beam right? if so how does the cam autofocus with the popup flash down in low light? And also...
