Is this your first FX cam? The viewfinder image is bigger on a FX than DX, so you may not be used to it.

It used to be you join a photography club and you can rent their darkroom at a norminal cost. I was with SAFRA Photography Club some years back and they had a darkroom. I'm sure the Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS) has a darkroom you can rent if you join them as member.

Can someone share if the D750 is MIJ, MIT or MIC?

Interesting, no doubt, but like a previous poster mentioned, it will be a very niche market, possibly technical/scientific use, or street photography. Using the traditional colour filters for landscape photography is going to be quite impractical by today's standard.

Pearl Harbour is a lovely movie. Kate Beckinsale was lovely! But a bit long to watch too many times. Potential new movie for a 3-timer is Gravity. Short, exciting, and visually stunning.

FYI, Ansel Adams used 8x10, 4x5, 6cmx6cm (Hasselblad), and surprise, surprise, 24mmx36mm(Contax) formats, at various periods of his life, for his work. His recommendation to his students was always to take the biggest camera you can carry and to always use a lens hood.

Love the Truman Show too. Jim Carey was at his peak at this time! But this movie makes you think about life, when sometimes it is like a show.

Sounds very similar to those arguments in the audio world between analog and digital recording, CD's and LP's. Some people are dead sworn to their vinyl LPs! :D

Oh, interesting. My experience has been quite the opposite, that MOST, not ALL, of the older lenses don't perform as well as the new ones, on the D700. Perhaps I'm a pixel peeper, or have not used the right lenses. I'll test them again.:)

Yes I have! I (still) have the F2 photomic, F2 (plane prism, no meter), Nikkormat FTn, FM2, F601m, etc. But I honestly doubt if ANY of those old Nikkor lenses (AI, pre-AI) will stand up to the scrutiny of a modern digital sensor. I kind of expected what you said earlier to be true, ie, that...
