Hi guys,
I currently have a lens with faulty VR mechanism. I have to switch it off (on the lens) to use the lens without the lens creating all kinds of noise. However, when I mount it on the Z6, the body takes it that VR is switched off and operates without VR. The VR on/off in the camera menu is greyed out so it doesn't allow me to switch VR on, as the VR switch on the lens overrides the menu option.
Quite frustrating because we know that if I mount a non-VR lens on the Z6, the in-body VR system comes into play, and I actually get VR feature with a non-VR lens.
What I need is to force the camera to treat my faulty VR lens as a non-VR lens and allow me to use the in-body VR. Does anyone know how that can be done?
