    D700 HIgh ISO issue

fluorescent flicker makes your photo have different colour temperature within the same photo. But if you are referring to the pixelation of the light fading from the center to the left edge, I think it is due to JPG compression loss.

It's the monsoon season now till October. But most of the time it will just rain for a couple of hours and stop. The air can look really clear after rain. During the dry season there's a lot of haze and pollution. Flooding is also very common and you may get splashes by traffic so make sure to...

    Ho Chi Minh City

I lived in HCMC for 4 years. It is NOT very safe by Singaporean standard. There's a lot of snatch thieves on motorbikes. They will snatch any thing whenever they chance upon, cameras, sling bags, gold chain, hand phone, etc. Even in District 1. Never venture by yourself into District 4...

    HCMC, Vietnam

Not a particularly nice period of time to travel to Saigon at the moment. It's monsoon season till October. It's been raining a lot lately in the afternoon and will get wetter in the next few weeks. :( I admit Saigon is not as scenic as the rest of the country but it offers ease for 1st time...

NASA buying more D3s and 14-24mm/f2.8

The consumer market is only a small part of the Nikon product ranges. If I am not wrong, majority of their earnings are from precision optics, lab microscopes, and other industrial optical equipment. The DSLRs and consumer market is only a tiny fraction of their overall earnings. That...
