Zeiss 35mm distagon 1.4 zm

Really looking forward to see comparison between Leica 35 lux asph and new Zeiss 35 1.4 zm ;)

If it works on my A7s I will definitely buy.

The 75 Summarit looks like it now has a minimum focussing distance of 0.7m, same as the 75 Summicron. That is probably another lens worth looking into.

The ZM is of the distagon design, that's a plus, though its also BIG and well, not exactly cheap too!

With a mtf chart that will make fle fanboys cringe, I think we have a potential winner here... next question, MIJ or MIG?

wooooooooo exciting!!!!

I'm interested to see how the CV 15mm f/4.5 III performs, especially on A7R :D

There's a new CV 35mm f/1.7 Ultron as well in m-mount. Cosina never release mtf curves, so only reviews will tell.

I'm looking forward to this hitting the shelves, but expect RF fans (be it using RF or mirrorless) to snap this up!! The build is similar to the others in the ZM range, and from the test shots I've seen... it'd be hard to pass on this lens...

Distagon with 10 lens element in 7 groups
2 lenses with aspheric optical surface
3 lenses made with special glass with anomalous partial dispersion
"Floating Elements" design

Focal Length 35mm
Aperture Range f/1.4-f1.6
Elements/Groups 10/7
Focus Range 0.7 to infinity

is the lens kinda heavy? it looks abit large in size , but the sample shots so far online look very good. haha

This lens is definitely larger and heavier than the 35 FLE. However it balances very well on my M9 and MM when I was at Photokina playing with it. Tests shots are sharp and to me, very characteristic Zeiss with the famed 3D "Pop" and micro contrast. I like this very much and will probably buy it. :)

Any idea when it s going for sales?

Sean Reid reviewed the lens. It is noticeably superior to the Leica equivalent. The only thing is size and whether you are willing to tolerate the size.

Otherwise, if I still had my M9, I'd sell a chunk of lenses to buy this one.

Didn't see much review on real life yet
