Shower only when you stink, else if can, go office and shower (if got shower facilities.) Charge whatever batteries at office whenever possible (a lot doing that, haha!) Get a tv recorder, playback during weekend day time as to save lights. Fast forward to save watching time, 15 mins could be shaved off.
All above is what I could think of and can need not apply to anyone of you. ;p

Thanks for your great ideas. To add on, you can go to your friends' condo pools to swim, bathe and shower. Save water bills, pool entrance or club membership.

2 bus stops, walk, not worth to take bus unless u can't walk. 3 to 4 bus stops, if can find shortcut, walk. 5 bus stop, if still got shortcut, walk! 6 bus stop and above, take bus, no choice, haha!

50 cents per eggs, ok, can eat often. 60 cents, try to find 50 cents first. 70 cents, if no choice, get it else forget about it. 80 cents and above, get yourself a tray of eggs and cook your self or eat raw with hot milo, haha!

Meals, buy 5 to 6 dishes and share. Cost less and can fill up too if you and partner are light eater. For me, no choice, can finish one box but will cut down on next meal, mostly maggi mee.

I have stopped drinking coffee whether it is gourmet or kpt kopi. I have also stopped eating snacks and finger food. I have stopped subscribing to EPL. These I have control over.

But what I have no control over are prices of petrol, utilities, basic food, etc.

In view of increasing commodities prices, I am wondering if gst will be reduced to 6%. I am also interested with so many investments in coy dealing with commodities, will we have access to cheaper sources, or it is again shareholders value that matters.

Good idea. But I do not have the looks of a hunk or gigolo so I think I have to stick to these austerity measures.

Apply for safra card. Go nearby swimming pool to shower also can save. Imagine whole year water usage also more than what you paid for. Ha ha! Can go do business n then shower, saves more! ;p

Technically speaking you can walk to any MRT toilet to do all that FOC.

cost of sugar has doubled since 2008. I should have taken my buddy Jim advice and long sugar in when he gave me this lobang in 2008. this is what is driving up cost of bread according to my friend who works in Gardenia factory.

meanwhile landlords demand yield increases yoy. many landlords are REITs... which are ultimately owned by Tumor Sick Holdings...

Actually wheat price has fallen. So it may be a case of wanting more profits to please shareholders.

I think you must drive. A lot of the MRT station toilets have hoses within the cubicles to wash the whole place, FYI. Unless of course you are an exhibitionist..
