Hi all, need an advice for those who are using 3rd party batteries for Panny cameras. I seldom buy 3rd party batteries for my cameras except for my PNS cameras, and they usually won't last or had issues with camera readings.

The Lumix originals are very expensive and not sure if it's worthwhile to get the 3rd party batts. If it's worthwhile, any brands to recommend? and where can I get it? I just need to get one.

Thank you in advance and have great week ahead.

I got a 3rd party battery for my LX5 recently. It can works. Just that when I first insert the battery into the compartment, it will show that battery's not compatible and the battery meter will not show. I got it online for abt USD10.

I buy them from DSTE off ebay. Using for both my GH2 and GF3. So far no issues. Works as good as the originals, with maybe 85-90% of the capacity (informal usage)..

I used it for my G3, initially was worried it has the issue of not showing the battery meter but was wrong...;) however, when the battery get low in power, it won't last long and my G3 may just shut off...
