when I just started shooting wedding, there was once when the groom fetch the bride back to his parents place, nobody is in the living room when we enter the house, I wonder ask them: "how come nobody at your place when they knew your are coming home?"

I had an embarrassing moment while shooting a group shot at an event, my lens just wont lock focus no matter how many times I press shutter, even with AF assist. Stood there for a full 10 seconds doing that, damn paiseh. End up MF then show them OOF image cuz they wanted to look at it...

Got a similar experience at the last outing..

I aimed my camera at Koplady and sfoto100, but the camera just won't lock focus.. so I take my own sweet time hunting for contrast area to lock on..

Didn't realized that they were already "posing" for the shot.. as it was quite dark and thru the VF can't see their facial expression at all..

Then about 10sec later.. kena complained by koplady for making them stand like statue for 10sec......... alamak....

in the end, had to MF.. but, as expected, pic is OOF.. can't even see their face in the VF.. how to focus.......

mf, and focus bracket, i.e. go where you think is right, and then twist the focus ring a bit around that area which taking burst shot.

i wasn't sure if it was right or wrong when i first saw it, then i realised that the flash wasn't THAT powerful.

Actually, I always try to avoid MF.. bcoz.. not even sure if the diopter setting on the VF is right.. never calibrated it..

if the numbers you see in VF are clear, then should be correct.

I miss out some part in my manual saying the VF can't be used when shoot using live view.

When I see through the VF all dark, I checked my lens cap, whether the lens is properly attached, and some thought of sending my cam to NSC crossed my mind. :embrass:

can't beat the all time classic.

bring camera, bring heavy tripod, bring many filters, bring all the lenses.

go to a far away place, 2 hours away... see the sunset, it is gorgeous.

you whip out your camera, and then it refuses to take pictures.

why? you left your sd card in your computer........ better luck next time. at least you can appreciate the sunset.

I think the 4/3 community (led by microcosm) tried to flash/strobe/dunno-what-term a building at night before. It was a pretty big project IIRC with goodness knows how many flash triggers. :sweat:

Got to ask those who were present. I knew of the "project" from the sub-forum, but didn't go as I didn't have any flash to contribute.

No. They were deliberately trying to light up a building using flashes.

After the shoot, try to get the xmm hp number and buy her lunch. Reach home spending whole night post processing the photo so to sent those photo to xmm.

End of the day, the xmm happy spend the money with her bf and use your photo for her own marketing and never pick up your call.

pretend to date guy for 1 week, then ask him to buy this, buy that, i love you long time...
