How do you include a Laptop into the 7Mil Bag?...I have the same bag & I'm already having space constraints?...:what:

I created a space at the back of the bag such that its like a laptop compartment den in front of it are the rest of the support for camera and lens.

everything in the overhead compartment: lens, body, battery, etc in a bag ; my tripod and ballhead in another bag.

first of all there'd be a camera bag, that should provide you some form of protection when you leave it in the overhead compartment :)

Under the seat in front of me. I did it on a recent trip to Taiwan and was not told to put it up either.

1 body n 1 lens in a bag under the seat in front of me too, traveled on budget flight..

It better to be able to look after it. :)

I will put it at the compartment on top because it's much more safer/easier and comfortable?

Easier and comfortable especially on long flight. But I would only feel safe when I am hugging my cam to sleep, unless the bag consists of 2 body, 3 lens, flash,,,,etc....etc :bsmilie:

I keep mine in the landing gear compartment along with the mangled and twisted body of a stowaway jammed within the undercarriage. Alternatively If possible, I would select a seat with an access panel to the avionics bay or cargo hold hidden underneath the carpeting and dump it down there. :bsmilie:

Gosh.... I guess you travel without a passport too. :bsmilie:

I was on kuala lumpur to singapore flight by Silkair.

It's on the Christmas's Day Eve. And i am surprise that both seats beside me is empty..considering that its christmas eve..

so i proceed to the middle and put my gears on those seats..

Taking pictures and video all the way , that 50 mins flight.

An experience I witness.

Was on flight to korea and when the plane landed, passengers was unloading their stuffs from the overhead compartment and one of my tour khakis realised that his bag was being "unloaded" as well !!!! Luckily he found out juz in time and screamed at that person. That guy still got the cheek to say " I tot it was mine "!!!!!!

If the bag is able to fit under the seats I would prefer to do that. Use my legs to cover the bag when stewardess start checking before plane take off.

where do you guys put your feet in you put your bags under the seat!??

dun tell me you rest your feet on the bag? :bsmilie:

i guess you guys don't sleep on the flights?

I use fastpack 350, and I put it in overhead compartment, because sometimes they don't allow u to put loose thing even under the seat in front u. (SilkAir don't allow this one. everything should be inside overhead compartment). my friend hold his d700 in his hand and they just ask him to put it inside the bag "no loose thing with u on take off or landing" ^_^

Body+1 lens in my hand (in short- to medium-range flights) if seated beside window-seat. You never know when u get to see a great scene - volcano/ sunrise/ sunset/ etc. outside the window depending on ur destination.

Otherwise, everything goes above in the overhead compartment

Tripod safely wrapped & packed & checked in, bcoz security in someplaces consider all these 'stick' like objects as potential weapons, and can object to getting it into the cabin.

Under my seat.

I mentioned before in another thread: all bags big or small can only be put overhead on a flight to Taiwan. I tried to put underneath the seats and the stewardress asked me to put it up.
Hmm that's weird, no such policy on an SQ flight to taipei in late Dec...

Kept my camera bag under the seat in front of me.

I keep mine under the seat.

Off Topic a bit.
Is it ok for our cameras & lenses to pass tru the airport security x-ray machine? Cos I was told by the staff to put mine in a bag before passing tru the x-ray machine.

I throw my DSLR, 3 lenses, Laptop, Video cam into one of those smaller bags and put it under the seat in front of me on flights.

Has worked ok on Tiger, Jetstar, China Eastern.....
