[ Review ] The Olympus E-P2 (Electronic Pen, Model 2)

I keep monitoring this thread for any further review of E-P2 but it hasn't return to its topic after derailing halfway thru the thread...lol

Anyway, I always buy Rev. B of Macs to avoid teething problem. Next year's iMac 27" should be interesting, maybe Apple will improve the DisplayPort Input, enabling easier connection from HDMI devices.

Nice to see Mac and Olympus on the same page. I started off with a Mac SE SuperDirve with 20MB HD Still have many Zuiko OM lenses and several OM1N bodies. As such I for one am waiting for the Pen EP-2. Any News? Called up Olympus Singapore yesterday and the girl/lady said before the end of the year.... I think I'll get the kit without the lens (hopefully available in Singapore). I'll also introduce the EP-2 to the FT in my drybox.

I highly recommend that you take the 17mm pancake package. That is one good walkaround lens, since it is pancake and have a small profile. For a $100 more only, and you can always sell it later on.

initially was titanium for Europe and black for the rest of the world and silver for Japan,than now everywhere black and silver in Japan IIRC

Gosh, the picture makes it so beautiful. I want want!!!!! Haha. The bare titanium colour is so nice.


Anyway, i found out that the Pen camera uses titanium for it's body. Kinda cool.

Hey Micro, could I check with you about the EVF on the EP-2? Approximately how larger is the view through it? Around the same as the G1 or closer to an SLR like say the D700/5D or in between like a D90?

It's similar to the E-3 IIRC

Shop owner estimate selling price to be RM 3.5k - 4k. With favorable exchange rates now of 2.44 it should be SGD 1440 - 1640.
