Listing for Land/City-scapes Venues - SINGAPORE

I am interested to do some sunrise shoots at this place listed here:
- Sunrise
4. Changi Coast Road "Lampost 171" - Behind Changi Airport (Via Driving Only) Beautiful place, no crowd, no man's land, huge desert, about 20mins drive from the main road. Accessible only on weekends. Till date, only 4X4 and some LGV can drive right to the end, saloon cars better don't try. About an hour walk from the enterance. Nice scenery all day and night.

Can someone help to let me know specifically which part of Changi Coast Road? I have a mp link here: http://sg.shownearby.com/address/79115/701_changi_coast_road/map
One can move & zoom on the map.
Can someone kindly please locate this place on the map for me, capture and email to me at block306@yahoo.com
Thanks very ,very much.:):)

Bro, u saw a huge piece of reclaim land beside the Changi Coast Rd? That's the place. Racky around to find some good spots for it. I suggest u go to the extreme right where there's a piece of land that pertrude out like a stick. There's the best spot for sunrise. Basically u'll get a long coastline of sea with sunrise or sunset.

I realized that there isnt a listing for abandoned houses... well probably not a good idea to openly list it anyway.

But does anyone know of such places? If so, can any kind soul PM me?

I know of the common ones are the soong sisters house and matilda house... any other?

The Hill Street carpark is now closed or blocked by bars and is no longer appropriate to take wide and full photos of the river scenery.

Very useful thread

Near the Tanah Merah Country Club? Is the road visible?

Bro, can you PM me where the soong sisters house is and how to get there?

Thanks!!:)

Raiway track from Bukit Gombak to Stagmont Ring road.
There seems to have quite a couple of people interested in railway shoot, so I add a few links here to provide some relevant info. Hope it helps. For those who want additional info around CCK, do PM me.

The bird eye view Stagmont section looks like this. That give you an idea where and how you could shoot.

This area of the track is more forested.

The place is quite scenic if you walk further downstream.

The other section near Bukit Timah Ten Mile Junction is more open. Go streetdirectory.com and type "ten mile junction", you should get the place.

Those who want to shoot run down house and railway track, go to Bukit Gombak section.

There is no guard around the track , you can shoot all day long except to look out for train. If you want to shoot at the Gombak KTM house, I suggest you go talk to the railway track guard. He is quite friendly but does not speak English.

I have searched around there lately but I couldn't really figure out where the spot is. The road to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal ends either at the ferry terminal or at the Naval Base. Couldn't see anything there and no lamp post of that number.
Coming Changi Coast Road from Changi Beach Park towards South there is one single entry at the left, wide enough for cars or bigger vehicles. It's roughly opposite the airport fire station. But it's lose sand, you need to walk. You'll notice lots of traces from scrambler motorbikes, sometimes you can even hear them. I suspect that's the entry point. Haven't had the chance to really explore. But again, no lamp post 171.

That is the entrance for the place. The lamppost 171 is one of those lamppost on the roadside. Now is much restricted than before. Even when we want to go in and play with our car also must try to avoid authority liao.

Good luck in ya venture. Lose sand is correct. Ever seen vans got stuck inside the place.

Sunset
Admiralty Gardens - Near Republic Poly.
You can park your car at the carpark where the new Sakura Restaurant is. Head up the hill towards the Sports Center and you should get a pretty good view of the sunset.

Hi, does anyone know if Henderson Waves (the new highest pedestrian bridge in SG) at Telok Blangah Hill Park is good for taking Sunset pics?

anyone planing to have a pre halloween shoot? at some old Cemetery? Might tag along :D

There's a restaurant within RP? Or is it somewhere near the park? Sorry, I'm kind of confused haha, still trying to learn things around Woodlands.

Its not in RP itself. The restaurant is in Admiralty Park where the pond is, which is just beside RP.

Ah, so to clarify, Admiralty Park is the one with an entrance from RP right? There's a restaurant in the park itself? Near the Woodlands Avenue 9/Riverside Road section, or near Admiralty Road West section?
